Objectives and topics

The rapid advancement of electronics, including semiconductors, AI, and communication technologies, is opening new possibilities for next-generation applications that span immersive experiences, efficient resource management, and intelligent interaction systems. This special session aims to bring together experts in advanced communication technologies and computer vision/deep learning to explore innovative solutions for these applications. By emphasizing synergies between high-performance communication networks and intelligent visual processing systems, this session seeks to drive advancements that are interactive, efficient, and transformative across industries. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Innovative Communication Technologies for Intelligent Systems

- B5G/6G applications: VR, XR, IoT, machine-type communications, blockchain

- Enabling technologies: UAV and satellite communications, mmWave/THz communications, optical wireless communications, reflecting intelligent surfaces

- AI-aided communications for optimized network performance and resource allocation

  • Computer Vision and Machine Learning Applications

- Core vision tasks: Object detection, tracking, segmentation, and 3D vision

- Visual SLAM, Anomaly detection, 6D pose estimation

- Deep learning and generative models for data augmentation and synthesis

  • Interdisciplinary Applications

- Robotics: Vision-based navigation, human-robot interaction, grasping detection

- Smart Cities: Intelligent surveillance, traffic management, environmental monitoring
